A good speech elevates the occasion and lifts the audience. The facilities where Statesman Debate holds its events are in a piece with this sentiment and bring grandeur to the proceedings.
Our flagship is Stotesbury Mansion. Located in prestigious Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, and acquired in 1926 by its present owners, the Philopatrian Literary Institute, this magnificent home seemed destined for debate. It features a grand ballroom where our plenary sessions are held and several beautifully appointed rooms, most fitting for our committee sessions and intimate workshops.
The elegance of the mansion finds its counterpart in our choice of academic settings. Whether it is such other majestic local places as West Catholic Prep built in 1916 or Villanova University hailing from the 1840s or Williamsburg’s College of William and Mary, truly ancient, by American standards, or similar inspiring campuses up and down the East Coast, we hold court and host important deliberations and schools in upscale, safe and secure locations.
